BBC News online tell us about the previously lost Galton and Simpson Goon Show sketch that was discovered by Gary the (our) Archivist at York. It’s a good article, although a year old now. on bbc.co.uk

Jane Milligan had a word with the BBC about a documentary to celebrate the Goons, but they said no. ‘Dad wouldn’t be surprised’ she said. But later
told our editor: ‘but then they do kindly put the Goon Shows on air 75 years after they were written, and for this I am eternally grateful.’

There was also the 40th Anniversary in 1991, when At Last the Go On Show was first aired on Radio 2, followed by five nights of Spike’s Pick of the Goons episodes. at genome.ch.bbc.co.uk
