We’ve been going strong since 1972, the year of ‘The Last Goon Show of All.’ A group of fans did not want it to end but to continue and be preserved for future generations…

We’re still going and still very active and very relevant today. We have taken full advantage of 21st century technology and have digitised all recordings of the Goon Show radio show, related films, TV and lots more. This is preserved in our Encyclopaedia Goonicus, a members only archive. more info

Much of our ‘hard copy’ and digitised archive is with the University of York’s Borthwick Institute for Archives… thus preserved. more info

Copies of all newsletters and magazines plus our book (left) are with Legal Deposit at The British Library. We are also seeking space for our collection of books, records, CDs, DVDs and VHS that are too bulky for the Archive Centre.

Our A5, full-colour quarterly magazine features the latest news and delves into historical articles and features. It’s packed full of Goon information and of the main folk involved at the time… and since!
