Newsletters

Goon Show News is our members’ newsletter. It’s a quarterly magazine, usually about 40 pages, printed on good quality, glossy A5 paper. Alternatively, it can be sent electronically as a PDF file. The editor is always looking for new content for the magazine. Whether it’s a full article or just a ‘letter to the editor’, you can get it to him through the contact form.

Our Newsletters have been produced since 1972, when the GSPS was formed. The whole archive up to 2021 is included for members in Encyclopaedia Goonicus. Selected articles from the magazine archive appear in our book, also called Goon Show News, or in the Features section of this website. Among many other things, recent magazines have carried feature articles about the Goon-related TV shows of the 1950’s – The Idiot Weeky Price 2d, A Show Called Fred and Son of Fred. We’ve celebrated our 50th Anniversary and Peter Sellers’ centenary and much more. Click on the images below to read the contents lists.

Binders for your Magazines (new stock!)
Each binder will hold five years worth of magazines. They’re available from Adrian Briggs (abriggs99@live.co.uk): Price  £7:00 each, which is inclusive of UK p&p.
